DockOn’s custom software tools enable very rapid custom CPL™ antenna design, optimized for your product. By leveraging the power of the .NET framework, our software tools allow the very adaptable geometries of CPL™ antenna elements to be fully parameterized and manipulated for the best performance inside of your product (including PCBA, enclosure, components, etc.). DockOn’s software maintains the design rules for CPL™ antenna technology while the geometries are put into motion in optimization routines which ensures the stability of the final custom antenna design.

The CPL™ Builder tools leverage well-known simulation solver packages such as CST Microwave Studio. The CPL™ Builder environment enhances the simulation software packages by greatly reducing the time for a custom CPL™ antenna design, adding “smart dLogic code” to the simulation drawing objects, and automatically saving all pertinent design information to a secure database.

CPL Builder Software Environment

There are five main parts to the CPL™ Builder Software Environment:

1. “Builder”

An innovative antenna design tool; each part of the antenna structure is “smart” and custom logic is coded (dLogic) to maintain design rules while in full optimization inside of 3rd party simulation tool (example: CST Microwave Studio).

2. “dLogic”

dLogic is a custom coding environment with the power of the .NET framework used to code custom design rules which are executed before each solve during an optimization routine inside a 3rd party simulation environment along with PCB/ID parts. The dLogic-enabled CPL™ antenna structure is compiled into a DLL file ready for import into the 3rd party simulation software environment.

3. “Optimization”

After the dLogic-enabled CPL™ antenna DLL is imported into a 3rd party simulation package, the CPL™ Builder utilizes, but controls the optimization routines’ parameter values to ensure design stability over a wide range of possible inputs.

4. “Database Repository”

Each permutation created by the optimizer with acceptable results is stored automatically to a central database. This provides parametric study information (ground plane clearance, antenna element size, placement, orientation, etc) very quickly. The repository is searchable via web/smartphone.

5. “Regeneration”

The repository is searchable by engineers for version history, or new project starting points. All dLogic code, parametric detail, etc is retrieved from the database and regenerated into the 3rd party simulation tool for optimization/analysis.
